Firewalls act as a barrier between computers on a network. Even though vnCloud is monitored in order to ensure security adding firewall rules helps increase security in your virtual machine.

Are you unsure about how to add firewall rules to your vm? Installing your vnCloud Firewall is quite easy. Here is a pictorial that will take you step-by-step through creating a firewall rule in 5 minutes!

 

  1. Go to https://cloud.vaultnetworks.com/login & Log into your account


  2. Once your Dashboard finished loading click on the “Cloud” tab at the top of the page.


  3. You should now see your Cloud servers. Select the “Firewall Rules” button which is a button containing a fire icon (similar to this .)


  4. You will be taken into your firewall page. To add a new firewall rule select “Create New Firewall Rules” on the top right hand corner of the page (green button).


  5. Input the necessary information, double check that your information has been put in correctly, then select “Create”.


  6. Your page should load with your new firewall rule.
