In addition to the main Policy Settings page, there are 8 other tabs that manage very specific rules for your backup, which will be reviewed in this section.
Data Retention
Recovery Point Retention allows you to set the amount of Recovery Points you wish to have available at a time, and Recovery Point Archiving Schedule shows the existing schedule for Recovery Points to be archived. Additional schedules can be added and deleted here as well.
File Excludes
The File Excludes section enables you to select specific Folders and Files to not include in the backup process. Drilling down into the folders can be done by double-clicking the folder, or by checking off the folder and clicking “Go”. Leaving a file checked will exclude it from backup.
Advanced Excludes
Advanced excludes enable you to exclude files with specific patterns, such as all .doc files. If the "Recursive" option is checked, the exclude rule will be applied not only to the root folder files, but also to the files from sub-folders.
SQL Server, Exchange, and MySQL
NOTE: The SQL Server and Exchange sections are only available for Windows machines, but they share the same format as the MySQL page which will be reviewed below. New instances can be added by utilizing the “Add New” button on each page.
A – Enabled – Shows if the Policy is in place
B – Edit – Enables you to Edit the policy regarding the database. NOTE – To edit you will require your Root/Admin information for the database/Email server
C – Delete – Delete the policy
D – Test Connection – Confirms that the agent can communicate with the database/Email Sever
E – Disable the policy
Control Panel
The Control Panel tab enables management for any Control Panels you may utilize for web hosting (Ex. Parallels)
A – State: shows the policy is active
B – Type – Type of Control Panel in use (ex. cPanel)
C – Name – Name of the Panel
D – Control Panel Instance ID – ID for your control Panel
E – Login – Login information for the control panel
F – Download Plug-in – Download the Plug-In for the Control Panel
Advanced Policy Settings
The Advanced Policy Settings tab shows any advanced policies that may be in place. Unlike the other tabs, these policies CANNOT be modified by a User.
